Welcome House Raleigh is an organization that welcomes and assists refugees in coordination with the US Committee for Refugees & Immigrants (USCRI). We are delighted to be one of four churches in town partnering together to host Welcome House Greenville!
We help pay the rent and utilities for the refugee families out of our mission & grants budget, but we also play a huge role in basic hospitality. With new families arriving about every 90 days, the hospitality teams work together to make the refugee families feel welcome, make sure their residence is set up before arrival, and help acclimate them to their new community. This team coordinates other volunteers and donations as necessary.

How can you help?
There is always a need to help outfit the residences before a new family placement depending on the specific needs of the incoming family. We also help established refugees outfit their long term housing after they move out of the Welcome House. We are able to store some donations at this time, but not large items or furniture. (Note: We'd love to have a storage space available to store larger items long term and pull from as needed.) When appropriate, we will post a sign up list below for each incoming refugee family, but we always welcome financial gifts to help cover rent, utilities, and other expenses for the Welcome House and its families. We've also listed a house inventory list to give you an idea of what items may be needed before new families arrive.
