A Declaration

Our Mission

Following the life and example of Jesus, we are a community of faith created to love others boldly through radical acceptance and intentional affirmation of all God’s people.

With a welcoming and inclusive spirit, we seek to show the love of Jesus to all people regardless of race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental ability, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, or education.

Our Core Values

Radical Love & Grace

We value being Christ-like, Christ centered, Jesus followers, & teaching about Jesus.

Inclusivity

We believe every person is made in the image of God and deserves to be fully welcomed, affirmed, and embraced. We value inclusivity of all physical, mental, personal, and spiritual journeys.  We intentionally set out to walk with those on the margins, following Jesus’ example, and we celebrate the beauty of diversity and create space for all to belong, just as they are.

Authentic Community

Life is better together, and we value doing life together through hospitality, small groups, and affinity groups as we form one cohesive community.

Jesus' Hands & Feet

We believe that the Church is meant to be a movement of people living out the love of Jesus in real, tangible ways. To be the hands and feet of Jesus means actively participating in His mission: serving others, seeking justice, offering compassion, and meeting needs wherever we find them. We follow His example by stepping into the messiness of life with humility and purpose, offering hope, healing, and practical help.

Well-Being

We value the whole person and promoting health and well-being. We know that we are all doing the best we can, and we value showing up the best way we can.  We believe your whole being matters.
Just for fun, below is a word cloud we created at the very beginning of Cedarbridge, before we even had a name!  At our first interest meeting, we asked people to share their prayers and dreams for a new church and this depicts the key phrases and ideas that were shared and led to our core values as a church.
